Pocket money with proper controls

Bank of Mum and Dad

A private family ledger for pocket money, savings, approvals, payslips and statements. Parents set the rules. Children see their money clearly. Everyone knows what happened.

The demo uses sample data only. You can look around without signing in and without changing a real family account.

How it works

Run family money without losing the thread.

Bank of Mum and Dad is not a bank account. It is the record, rules and approvals layer families need before real money leaves a parent's pocket.

1

Add family members

Invite children and adults, add photos, and keep each minor's current, savings and tax records separate.

2

Set payment rules

Choose salary, frequency, payment time, tax name, savings percentage, interest and optional savings bonuses.

3

Approve requests

Children can request savings withdrawals. Adults approve or deny with proper password confirmation.

4

Keep statements

Transactions, manual adjustments, payslips and savings activity are kept in a clear family ledger.

Open demo

See the adult and child views before you create anything.

The demo is public and uses sample balances, sample transactions and sample rules. It is there to show the functionality without saving settings or touching a real account.

The useful boring bits

Account management matters.

This is designed for repeat family use, not a shiny toy you open once. Adults can manage profiles, passwords, region settings, time zones, currency changes, account resets and family member deletion.

Region settings Set timezone and currency. If currency changes later, adults confirm the exchange rate first.
Salary timing Payments are scheduled for the child's configured local payment time, not a vague server default.
Corrections Manual adjustments are recorded as manual adjustments, so the ledger still explains itself later.

Pricing

Pricing needs to be fair to families.

The final price is not fixed yet. The sensible shape is simple, family-based pricing rather than charging per child for every little thing.

What still needs deciding

TBC

The right price should reflect hosting, notifications, support and continued development without making pocket money admin feel expensive.

  • Free trial length
  • Monthly versus annual discount
  • Whether larger families need a fair-use limit
  • Launch pricing for early users

Questions

Plain answers before you sign up.

No. It records family balances and rules. Parents still decide how and when real money is handed over.

Can children use the website?

Yes. Invites can open the app when installed, or continue on the website when it is not.

Is the demo safe?

Yes. It uses sample data and does not save settings, payments, approvals or profile changes.

Start with one child and one simple rule.
